Ginger and Garlic Paste

This is a staple ingredient of Indian recipes

Ingredients

  • 100 gms chopped peeled ginger
  • 100 gms chopped peeled garlic
  • ground nut oil

Method

  1. Add the ginger, garlic and a little oil to a food processor and process until smooth
  2. Add enough extra oil to make a paste.
  3. Put in an air tight container, and cover the surface with a thin coating of oil – will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
