Used for making the Southern Indian Sambar.

Ingredients

  • 150g Chana Dahl
  • 110g Coriander seed
  • 10 dry chillies
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Fenugreek seed
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida

Method

  1. Dry fry all ingredients except Asafoetida.
  2. Grind all together when lukewarm and store.
