The Ultimate Breakfast Roll

Recipe: Keren BobkerServes 1 - Quantities can easily be doubled


  • 3 rashers of bacon
  • handful of mushrooms
  • teaspoon mustard
  • tablespoon crème fraiche
  • 1 bread roll
  • butter
  • black pepper


  1. Split & lightly butter roll
  2. Cut bacon into pieces approx ½ inch long. Finely slice mushrooms.
  3. Add a knob of butter to a frying pan & heat until melted. Add bacon and fry until cooked ? crispy or otherwise according to preference.
  4. Add mushrooms and stir well ? cook until just done. Add mustard and crème fraiche to pan and stir until bubbling. Remove from heat. Add a little freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Pile into roll & enjoy.
