Chocolate Oil Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 ozs /180 gms self raising flour
  • 1 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 5 ozs /150gms sugar
  • 5 fluid ozs /150mls light oil
  • 5 fluid ozs /150mls light milk
  • 2 tbs treacle

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 160°C.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth
  4. Grease a cake/loaf tin and pour in mixture.
  5. Cook for 40-45 minutes until a skewer comes clean.
  6. Take out of the oven and rest fro 10 minutes
